The 'Nettie' bodysuit and dress by Heather Lou at Closet Case Patterns is such a great versatile wardrobe staple.

I'm gathering a little inspiration to make both views starting with a wearable bodysuit toile in an inexpensive navy blue striped jersey.

There are loads of great Netties around blogland. A couple of my favourites include Jasika's gorgeous berry version with 3/4 sleeves and Mady's classic breton feel dress.

If you've not worked with jersey before it's really pretty simple to tackle with no need for an overlocker (serger), there's even a detailed sewalong over at the Closet Case Files blog for a little extra support. That said, if you're a more experienced sewist there's plenty of variations to get stuck into -next on my agenda is Heather's off shoulder hack.

I'm slowly compiling a Pinterest board for each design collection with a view to adding inspiration regarding fabric choices, added design features, styling ideas and even pattern hack options. So head over and take a peek! ...Tempted? You can buy your Nettie pattern here.
